Project Overview

Quad Power Project.

The Quad Power Project is a 375-megawatt combined-cycle power plant driven by General Electric turbines.

Currently in the development phase, the plant will be fueled by natural gas and located on the same site as the Aba Integrated Power Project, Aba IPP, power plant.

The electricity generated by the Quad Power Project can be sold directly to the national grid through a Power Purchase Agreement, PPA, with the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Company, NBET, or supplied to consumers within the Aba ring-fence.

Power Supply Options

Designed for grid supply or Aba ring-fence delivery.

The electricity generated by Quad Power can be sold directly to the national grid through a Power Purchase Agreement with NBET.

It can also be supplied to consumers within the Aba ring-fence, supporting the power needs of industries, commercial users and communities within the Aba service area.

Strategic Importance

A planned expansion of Geometric Power’s generation capacity.

As Aba Phase II, the Quad Power Project represents an important development pathway for additional generation capacity on the Aba IPP power plant site.

Its potential supply options make it relevant to both national grid delivery and power availability within the Aba ring-fence.
