Employment Criteria

To join Geometric Power, prospective candidates must meet the following criteria:1. Educational Requirements

  • For senior-level positions: A Degree or HND from a recognized University in a relevant discipline.
  • For all positions: A minimum of five (5) O’ Level/SSCE credits, verifiable at the WAEC office or its equivalent from recognized institutions abroad.

2. National Youth Service Programme (NYSC)

  • Applicants for senior positions must have completed the NYSC prior to employment consideration or within 24 months after employment if relocating from abroad. Exemptions from NYSC must be supported by evidence.

3. Additional Qualifications

  • Possession of a Master’s degree and/or industry-relevant professional qualifications in addition to the minimum requirements could be an added advantage.

4. Work Authorization

  • Applicants must be Nigerian or have the necessary work permits if not a Nigerian citizen.

Job Title: Legal Prosecutor

Job Summary:
The Legal Prosecutor is responsible for representing the organization in legal proceedings involving criminal, civil, or regulatory matters. This role entails preparing and prosecuting cases, providing legal guidance on enforcement and compliance issues, and working collaboratively with law enforcement and internal departments to ensure the organization’s interests are protected in all prosecutorial actions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the prosecution of cases on behalf of the organization, including criminal charges, civil actions, and regulatory breaches.

  • Conduct thorough legal research, gather and assess evidence, and build strong prosecutorial arguments.

  • Draft, review, and file legal documents such as charge sheets, motions, affidavits, and legal opinions.

  • Represent the organization in court hearings, tribunals, and regulatory proceedings.

  • Work closely with internal investigators, law enforcement agencies, and external counsel to prepare cases for trial or resolution.

  • Advise management on prosecutorial strategy, risk exposure, and legal implications of organizational activities.

  • Monitor developments in criminal, civil, and regulatory law to ensure all actions are compliant with current legal standards.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential case files, records, and documentation in accordance with legal best practices.

  • Provide support in dispute resolution processes, settlements, and enforcement actions.

  • Ensure ethical conduct in all prosecutorial activities and uphold the organization’s reputation before legal and regulatory bodies.


Requirements:

  • LL.B degree from a recognized university and Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL).

  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-call experience in litigation, criminal prosecution, regulatory enforcement, or a related legal field.

  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian criminal law, evidence law, and court procedures.

  • Demonstrated courtroom advocacy, legal drafting, and case management skills.

  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.

  • High standards of integrity, professional conduct, and confidentiality.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines under pressure.

  • Familiarity with interfacing regulatory bodies and judicial institutions is an advantage.

Job Title: Community Liaison Officer

Job Summary:
The Community Liaison Officer serves as a vital link between the organization and its host communities, ensuring clear communication, mutual understanding, and positive relationships. This role is responsible for implementing community engagement strategies, resolving concerns, and promoting trust and collaboration between the organization and its stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with host communities, local leaders, and other stakeholders.

  • Develop, coordinate, and execute community engagement plans aligned with organizational goals.

  • Organize and lead town hall meetings, focus group discussions, and stakeholder forums to gather community feedback and foster dialogue.

  • Address community concerns promptly, facilitate resolution of grievances, and escalate unresolved issues as necessary.

  • Monitor community sentiment and provide strategic insights to management on emerging issues and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to communicate project activities, timelines, and impacts to community members.

  • Prepare and submit periodic reports detailing community engagements, key issues raised, and follow-up actions taken.

  • Support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and ensure community involvement in program planning and implementation.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Public Relations, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, or a similar role.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong facilitation and negotiation abilities.

  • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and understanding of community dynamics.

  • Ability to manage conflict constructively and promote positive engagement.

  • Fluency in local languages and familiarity with regional customs is a strong advantage.

  • Willingness to travel frequently and work in rural or remote areas.

Job Title: Security Operative

Job Summary:
The Security Operative is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for the organization’s staff, visitors, assets, and facilities. The role involves monitoring premises, enforcing security protocols, responding to incidents, and preventing unauthorized access or activities that may pose threats to people or property.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Protect company personnel, property, and information by patrolling premises and monitoring surveillance systems.

  • Control access to the premises by verifying the identity of employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.

  • Respond promptly to alarms, security breaches, or incidents and escalate situations when necessary.

  • Conduct regular inspections of gates, doors, fences, and equipment to identify vulnerabilities or security risks.

  • Prevent loss and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers when required.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations during shifts.

  • Enforce organizational policies related to safety, emergency procedures, and security protocols.

  • Assist in emergency response efforts including fire drills, evacuations, and first responder coordination.

  • Support investigations into theft, vandalism, or other security-related matters.

  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other security personnel when necessary.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of SSCE/WAEC or equivalent qualification; additional training or certification in security operations is an advantage.

  • At least 1–2 years of proven experience in a security or protective services role.

  • Physical fitness and ability to remain alert and responsive during long shifts.

  • Good knowledge of basic security operations and emergency response procedures.

  • Ability to observe details, remain calm under pressure, and act decisively.

  • Integrity, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility.

  • Basic communication skills (verbal and written); ability to write clear reports.

  • Familiarity with the use of security tools such as radios, CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.

  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
