Employment Criteria

To join Geometric Power, prospective candidates must meet the following criteria:1. Educational Requirements

  • For senior-level positions: A Degree or HND from a recognized University in a relevant discipline.
  • For all positions: A minimum of five (5) O’ Level/SSCE credits, verifiable at the WAEC office or its equivalent from recognized institutions abroad.

2. National Youth Service Programme (NYSC)

  • Applicants for senior positions must have completed the NYSC prior to employment consideration or within 24 months after employment if relocating from abroad. Exemptions from NYSC must be supported by evidence.

3. Additional Qualifications

About the Role:

Geometric Power Aba Limited (GPAL) Team is looking for a skilled Finance & Account Officer to create and maintain accurate, extensive financial records, process payments and invoices with great efficiency. The ideal candidate will be responsible analysing financial data, and ensuring company finances are accurate and up to date.
Responsibilities:
·       Perform finance analysis, reporting and management tasks
·       Review financial paperwork and procedures, provide recommendations and make necessary changes
·       Ensure timely and accurate monthly and year end closure of accounts, including bank reconciliation, and submit reports to the Director plant and Maintenance as per prescribed deadlines
·       Ensure account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely
·       Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues
·       Update the Executive Director on financial status of the organisation
·       Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and ensure accuracy of information
·       Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations
·       Provide support during audits and tax preparation
·       Prepare and submit monthly reports for management review
·       Perform other duties as assigned by management
What we’re looking for:
·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or finance from a recognized university; Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA) will be an added advantage

Geometric Power Aba Limited (GPAL) Team is looking for a Gas Metering Station Operators to o monitor, operate, and maintain the safe and efficient operation of equipment and systems used in the power plant. This includes controlling and adjusting process conditions, monitoring and analyzing plant performance, and troubleshooting plant operations. The operator must also ensure that all safety procedures, regulations, and standards are followed.
Gas Metering Station Operators is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a gas plant. You will monitor, adjust, and control the process operations of the gas plant, including monitoring equipment performance and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal production. You will also be responsible for trouble-shooting any potential problems that may arise and performing preventative maintenance on the equipment. You will be well-versed in all safety regulations and must be able to make quick decisions when necessary. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, manual dexterity, and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
·       Monitor and operate gas plant machinery and equipment
·       Perform safety checks and maintenance on the machinery and equipment

You will be responsible for increasing operational efficiency by detecting and eliminating fraud and business risks.
Responsibilities:
·       Monitoring internal audit system
·       Conduct regular internal audit of various department within the organization
·       Assist in reconciliation and analysis of transactions
·       Conduct investigations on alleged irregularities and fraud
·       Assist in monitoring the business function of the branches and reporting all material findings and preparing appropriate recommendations for corrective actions
·       Undertakes special investigations that may be required to forestall mismanagement of Company resources
·       Ensure financial transactions are properly recorded summarized and reported accordingly
·       Protect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretions in sharing such information with legal confines

About the Role:

Reports to – Head of Facility
Geometric Power Project Management Team is looking for a Facility Supervisor to join their team. You will be responsible for providing assistance to ensure the day‐to‐day smooth management and operation of the office buildings/accommodation infrastructure through administrative and technical support as well as, overseeing the general maintenance of tasks. The Facility Supervisor will oversee all building-related activities, he will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure, and will ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning while optimizing the use of equipment to reduce operating costs. The facility Supervisor will ensure our offices are problem-free and safe so that employees can work under the best conditions.
Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate and supervise all installations (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, furniture, electronics etc.) and refurbishments
Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations 
Initiate interventions to solve problems in the facilities
Develop a schedule for regular monitoring and evaluation of the facility
Oversee upgrade of the overall facility as required
Carry out daily walk rounds/routine checks, ensuring the building fabric is in good order, noting any defect and raising it with Facility Manager
Monitor and ensure that agreed work by staff or contactors are completed satisfactorily and follow up on any deficiencies
Follow-up on timelines to ensure periodic services such as generator servicing, AC servicing, facility fumigation is rendered as at when due
Maintain detail log of complaints, response and response time
Maintain detail log of failing components replaced and associated cost.
Ensure that basic facilities, such as water, sewage system are well maintained
Monitor the use of generator fuel and diesel
Prepare and submit weekly report of activities at facility to the Facility Manager.
Ensure zero downtime of utility: water, electricity, waste management and sanitation
Ensure that the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly
Manage unplanned maintenance, repair and recovery for the facility as required within the shortest possible time.
Coordinate and schedule equipment and building repairs, installations, and maintenance work with vendors and appropriate in-house staff
·       Coordinate and monitor the services of outsourced companies e.g., gardening, Landscaping and cleaning companies.
·       Supervise support staff at the head office in the orderly discharge of their duties e.g., janitorial and facility technical staff
·       Carry out planned preventive maintenance on all critical equipment such as the air-conditioners, generator, water treatment plant, fire alarm system, water sprinkler system etc.

What we’re looking for:
·       Bachelor Degree Engineering or any related fields is a plus
·       Five (6) years of facilities maintenance experience which includes two (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
·       Must have overall appreciation and understanding of the facility and how their operation effects other areas to allow them to effectively schedule production/distribution through their operations
·       Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday
·       Self-motivated and able to operate with limited supervision
·       Able to find innovative solutions to reduce maintenance cost while still ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency

Geometric Power Project Management Team is looking for a Project Developer to focus on managing the operations of a Geometric Power Group project by conducting research and creating plans that best suit the needs of the projects delivered under our project management team. You will strategically manage various existing and potential projects within Geometric power and its subsidiaries. This is a very important commercial role which involves a lot of planning, negotiating and due diligence to ensure project compliance with environmental standards, financial profitability of projects, and stakeholder satisfaction. As a Project Developer, you must liaise with various stakeholders, service operators, and suppliers.
Job activities
· Project planning and monitoring: Development of a detailed plan, identification of objectives, key stages, resources, and timelines.
· Resource management: Allocation and optimization of human, financial, and material resources for the project.
· Team coordination: Supervision of multidisciplinary teams involved in various aspects of the project.
· Risk management: Identification, evaluation, and proactive management of risks associated with the project.
· Regulatory compliance: Ensuring compliance with current standards and regulations in the power sector or as project requires.
· Communication and negotiation: Interaction with stakeholders, negotiations with suppliers and partners.
· Financial oversight: Budget control, cost monitoring, and optimization of project expenses.
· Reporting and documentation: Preparation of periodic reports on project progress and achievement of set objectives.
Requirements:

·       Ensure compliance with necessary permits, environmental impact assessments, and government regulations

·       Advanced project management skills PMP certificate is a plus

·       Report and escalate to management as needed, providing regular updates to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
·       Perform risk management analysis to minimize project risks and maximize outcomes

What we’re looking for:
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Additional Nigerian language is a plus
In-depth knowledge of the power sector. Good working knowledge of power plant projects, planning, engineering, Site construction, management of changes during project phase
Over 8 years of experience in a similar position (experience in power sector project development preferred)
Experience working with a multinational company would be desirable
Minimum of a Master degree in Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.

You will oversee the work of accountants, review financial statements, and prepare reports for senior management and ensure business remains compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
·       Maintain the financial health of the organization.
·       Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.
·       Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
·       Collaborate with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
·       Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
