Employment Criteria

  • For senior-level positions: A Degree or HND from a recognized University in a relevant discipline.
  • For all positions: A minimum of five (5) O’ Level/SSCE credits, verifiable at the WAEC office or its equivalent from recognized institutions abroad.

2. National Youth Service Programme (NYSC)

  • Applicants for senior positions must have completed the NYSC prior to employment consideration or within 24 months after employment if relocating from abroad. Exemptions from NYSC must be supported by evidence.

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing on-site administrative and technical support to the Facility Manager, ensuring all maintenance activities are properly coordinated, supervised, and documented. The role supports high service quality across all office locations and substations, including 24/7 operations.

Reporting Relationships:
Direct: Facility Manager
Indirect: Head of Operations

Key Objective:
Serve as the primary coordinator for daily maintenance activities, supervise technical personnel, and ensure facility standards are consistently maintained during day and night operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily facility inspections and walk-throughs to identify maintenance issues, safety risks, and structural concerns.

  • Coordinate and supervise work schedules of Electricians, Carpenters, and AC Technicians to ensure prompt response to breakdowns.

  • Supervise third-party contractors such as cleaning, security, and pest control providers to ensure compliance with company policies and service level agreements.

  • Maintain accurate inventory of maintenance supplies and initiate procurement requests to prevent stock shortages.

  • Record all maintenance activities and prepare weekly reports on utility consumption, generator fuel levels, and repair expenses.

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of the 24/7 night shift roster.

Key Objective:
Operate the Self-Loader vehicle and crane mechanism safely and efficiently, ensuring load integrity during lifting, transit, and offloading operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the Self-Loader truck and hydraulic crane in line with manufacturer guidelines and company safety standards.

  • Conduct daily pre-operation inspections including checks on fluid levels, tire pressure, hydraulic systems, crane controls, and safety components to confirm operational readiness.

  • Secure transformers, poles, and heavy equipment using approved chains, straps, and binders to prevent movement during transit.

  • Work closely with the assigned Assistant to ensure safe positioning and clearance during loading and unloading, especially within confined substation environments.

  • Maintain accurate logbooks detailing equipment movements, fuel usage, and machine running hours.

  • Report mechanical faults, unusual vibrations, or safety concerns immediately to the maintenance team.

  • Clean and securely park the equipment at the end of each shift.

Competence Requirements:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults such as compressor failures, refrigerant leaks, thermostat issues, and PCB faults.

  • Carry out refrigerant recovery and charging in compliance with environmental regulations.

  • Install new cooling systems ensuring proper piping, insulation, and electrical connections.

  • Monitor and maintain temperature conditions in server rooms and substations to prevent overheating.

  • Document repairs, replaced parts, and refrigerant usage accurately in maintenance logs.

  • Optimize cooling system performance to support night shift operations and equipment reliability.
