At the Nigeria Energy Leadership Summit held in Lagos on October 29, 2025, Geometric Power reaffirmed its leadership in Nigeria’s power sector at the Nigeria Energy Leadership Summit held in Lagos, where the Group Managing Director, Mrs. Agatha Nnaji, participated as a panelist in a high-level discussion on the nation’s evolving energy landscape.
The session focused on the transition of power generation systems, the integration of renewable energy, and strategies to achieve a balanced and sustainable electricity market.
In her remarks, Mrs. Nnaji emphasized that gas-fired power generation will continue to play a critical role in Nigeria’s energy mix, even as the country expands its renewable energy portfolio. She highlighted the importance of creating a more enabling policy environment that supports investor confidence and operational sustainability.
“Technology isn’t the issue; people are. We need policymakers who understand what investors need to make the sector work,” she stated, underscoring the need for coordinated stakeholder engagement to unlock the sector’s full potential.
The Aba Integrated Power Project also featured prominently in the discussion, drawing commendation from fellow panelists who expressed interest in learning from its operational model. In response, Mrs. Nnaji reiterated Geometric Power’s openness to collaboration and knowledge sharing:
“You will be most welcomed. The Aba Integrated Power Project was designed to be a model that can be replicated across the nation. We believe it represents a sustainable solution that will help develop credible, creditworthy off-takers and strengthen Nigeria’s electricity market.”
Also present at the event was Professor Bart Nnaji, Chairman of Geometric Power, whose pioneering leadership continues to shape the company’s vision for reliable, sustainable, and inclusive power delivery in Nigeria.
The summit provided an opportunity for Geometric Power to share its perspectives, exchange insights with industry leaders, and reinforce its commitment to advancing Nigeria’s energy transition through innovation, strategic investment, and excellence in execution.
