Championing the Power of Expression, Innovation, and Hope in Nigeria’s Next Generation
Location: Enugu

The grand finale of the Life in My City Art Festival (LIMCAF) 2025 was held yesterday in Enugu, bringing together some of Nigeria’s brightest young artists under the theme “Can We Breathe?” It was a vibrant celebration of creativity, resilience, and the unyielding spirit of youth.

Among the distinguished guests was Professor Bart Nnaji, Founder and Chairman of Geometric Power, who joined other dignitaries to honor the creativity and courage of young Nigerian artists. The festival, which has grown into one of the country’s most respected art platforms, featured outstanding works in painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. Each piece reflected powerful perspectives on society, environment, and identity.

Professor Nnaji, widely known for his pioneering contributions to Nigeria’s power and technology sectors, spoke about the shared importance of art and science. “Every great society is built on both,” he said. “While power drives industry, art powers the mind. Both are essential for true progress.”

Mrs. Agatha Nnaji, Group Managing Director of Geometric Power, also attended the grand finale and joined in presenting awards to the festival’s finalists. She expressed her admiration for the young artists and the stories they told through their work. In her words, “What I see in these young people is courage and imagination. Their art reminds us that creativity has the power to heal communities and renew hope.”

Together with Professor Nnaji and the Obi of Onitsha, Mrs. Nnaji presented the overall award to the festival’s top winner, reinforcing Geometric Power’s ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that celebrate youth innovation and community transformation.

Since its inception in 2007, LIMCAF has provided a national space for youth engagement and creative reflection. The 2025 theme, “Can We Breathe?” invited artists to explore questions of identity, environment, and social renewal. These same values reflect Geometric Power’s broader vision of sustainable progress and community empowerment.

As Professor Nnaji noted, “When we empower young people to think, to create, and to express themselves, we empower the nation itself.”

Geometric Power continues to support programs that uplift communities, foster innovation, and celebrate human potential in all its forms. From the power plants that energize cities to the creative platforms that inspire hearts, the company remains deeply committed to lighting lives and empowering communities across Nigeria.

Geometric Power. Powering Progress.
