Industrialists within the Owerri Nta/Ukwa feeder axis have expressed excitement and optimism as the Chairman of Geometric Power, Prof. Bart Nnaji, led a team of Aba Power management and key customers to flag off the construction of the Dedicated Ukwa 33kV Industrial Line.

The new line will receive direct power supply from Geometric Power Aba Limited (GPAL), the source of the uninterrupted electricity currently enjoyed in Aba. This steady power supply has made Aba the envy of other cities in Nigeria due to its reliability and quality.

Speaking at the event, Prof. Bart Nnaji, Chairman of the Geometric Power Group, reiterated the company’s commitment to delivering reliable power to Aba’s industrious business community.

“What we are doing here today is deliberate and part of our promise to the people of Aba. We are very pleased with our partnership with Divine Point for this vendor-financed project,” Prof. Nnaji said.

Reacting to the chairman’s remarks, [Name], a representative of Blue World Pharmaceuticals, one of the industries set to benefit from the new line, expressed enthusiasm about the project:

“We are excited about this initiative because every industrialist knows that power is the heartbeat of any business.”

He also recalled a previous conversation with the chairman, quoting him as saying, “We will fulfill all that we have promised the people of Aba.”

The Managing Director/CEO of Divine Point Group, the project’s contractor, assured that the construction would be completed within 90 days, barring unforeseen weather conditions.

“We are committed to delivering this project on schedule. Our team will ensure its completion within 90 days, even as we pray for favorable weather.”

Blue Point Group, the financiers of the dedicated line, also expressed excitement over their partnership with Geometric Power on what they described as a transformational project.

This milestone comes as GPAL and Aba Power mark one year since the commissioning of the Geometric Power plant on February 26, 2024, by Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima.

Also speaking at the event, Barr. Ugo Opiegbe, Managing Director of Aba Power, noted that the new line would help offload demand from the existing infrastructure, ensuring more electricity is available for non-Maximum Demand (MD) customers.

Geometric Power continues to make giant strides in fulfilling its vision of making Aba the power hub of the South-East.
